Seasonal Celebrations
Beltane
Hello friends.
Bursting with the colours of May; whites like the robes of the May Queen, bright greens like the young foliage, pinks like the apple blossom, ribbons and flowers in all tones.
In Gaelic, May Day is called “Beltane”, which roughly translates as “bright fire”. It is midway between Spring Equinox and Summer Solstice and is a celebration of the arrival of lighter and longer days to come.
During Beltane energies of the earth are supposed to be at their most potent, bursting with life and growth and encompassing the world with floral and faunal beauty all around.
Historically it marked a chance for communities to come together to celebrate the changing of the seasons. And so for us to celebrate this wonderful sentiment I will be leaving five small (and completely free) “Beltane Posies” around our community to be found, taken home and enjoyed! One special posey contains an extra seasonal gift.
To warmer and brighter days.
